ZOOM ULEARN CLASS MEETINGS/OFFICE HOURS

F2F class sessions are not to be recorded or be delivered remotely, except on a limited basis, as outlined below:

  • Appropriate use of remote/recorded class meetings include accommodating a remote guest speaker or when anticipated circumstances (severe weather, faculty quarantine/isolation, etc.) may interfere with the ability to meet on campus for a normal F2F class meeting.
  • Remote/recorded class sessions may only be scheduled with department chair approval obtained a minimum of 24 hours in advance, unless circumstances are such that 24 hours of advance notice is not possible.
  • If a remote/ recorded course session is approved and delivered, please use the Communicating Expectations for Student Visibility and Engagement during a Synchronous Remote Class Session guidelines to ensure a good experience for all.

Whether or not remote/ recorded class sessions are anticipated (see previous bullet), all faculty must provide notice to students that class sessions may be recorded via the official syllabus addendum titled: NOTICE AND CONSENT RELATED TO CLASS RECORDINGS. The addendum must be included as the last page in each course syllabus. Post recordings of class meetings as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours following the conclusion of the recorded session.
